BALANCE (EXPANDED EDITION) obsahuje Van Halenovo multi-platinové desáté studiové album s remasterovaným zvukem, plus disk se vzácnostmi obsahující B-strany a osm dříve nevydaných živých nahrávek z londýnského stadionu Wembley (24. června 1995).
Obsahuje singly „Don't Tell Me (What Love Can Do),“ „Can't Stop Lovin' You“ a „Amsterdam.“
The rarities disc is the real draw here, especially those eight unreleased live tracks — the crowd noise and guitar tone on them sound raw in the best way. Main album remaster holds up too, and the two-disc packaging feels worth the shelf space.
The remastered audio on the main disc genuinely surprised me — the low end has way more punch than the copy I've had since the 90s. And getting the B-sides on a second disc instead of scattered bonus tracks is exactly how this should've been done.
The eight unreleased live tracks are the real draw here — the band sounds loose and hungry in a way the studio versions don't quite capture. Rarities disc alone is worth the price, and the remaster holds up too.
