Boys Don't Cry (86 Mix / 2026 Remaster) (CD Single)

The Cure veröffentlichen den 1986er Mix von "Boys Don’t Cry" und machen ihn erstmals digital verfügbar, anlässlich des 40. Jahrestags. Ursprünglich im Sommer 1979 als Single veröffentlicht, wurde "Boys Don’t Cry" zum Titelsong der US-Ausgabe des Debütalbums der Band, THREE IMAGINARY BOYS.
Der Song entwickelte sich zu einem der Signature-Tracks der Band und erlangte 1986 internationalen Erfolg, als Robert Smith den Gesang neu aufnahm und den Backing-Track neu mischte. Obwohl diese neue Version zur Promotion der Best-of-Kollektion STARING AT THE SEA – THE SINGLES erstellt wurde, enthielt die LP selbst die Originalaufnahme, und die 7-Zoll-Version von "Boys Don’t Cry" (New Voice – New Mix), jetzt umbenannt in "Boys Don’t Cry" (86 Mix), wird erstmals als CD-Single veröffentlicht. "Boys Don’t Cry" (86 Mix), der 12"-Mix und die B-Seiten "Plastic Passion," "Pillbox Tales" und "Do The Hansa" wurden von Matt Colton remastert.

"Boys Don’t Cry" (86 Mix), the 12” mix, and the B-Sides, "Plastic Passion," "Pillbox Tales," and "Do The Hansa" have been remastered by Matt Colton.
