Das Album enthält Hits wie „Aquarius“ (featuring Bilal), „I Got A Right Ta“, „I Am Music“ und „Jimi Was A Rock Star“ und erreichte Platz 9 der US Top R&B/Hip-Hop-Alben.

Electric Circus wurde als hellblaues 2LP-Vinyl mit den ursprünglichen 13 Titeln neu aufgelegt.
