Whisky A Go Go, 1968 Limited Edition 5LP + Custom Turntable Mat Box Set

Am 23. Juli 1968 übernahm Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention das Whisky a Go Go für eine Nacht voller Musik. FZ nahm den gesamten Abend auf, mit der Möglichkeit eines Albumprojekts. Obwohl Zappa im Laufe der Jahre einige Ausschnitte veröffentlichte, wurde nie ein komplettes Live-Album veröffentlicht, und die Bänder lagen 55 Jahre lang im Vault. Jetzt werden alle drei Sets der Mothers mit brandneuen 2023er Mixes in einer 5-LP-Edition mit 4-1/2 Musikseiten veröffentlicht, wobei die letzte Seite das erste Siebdruckbild auf Vinyl für eine Zappa-Veröffentlichung zeigt. Ebenfalls enthalten sind Linernotes von Joe Travers, Pamela Des Barres und ein Interview von Ahmet Zappa mit Alice Cooper. Als besonderes Extra ist eine maßgeschneiderte Plattenteller-Matte enthalten.
