EPMD wydali swój debiutancki album, Strictly Business 7 czerwca 1988 roku nakładem Fresh/Sleeping Bag Records i BCM Records. Album został nagrany w niecały miesiąc w studiu Charlesa Marotty i stał się fundamentem złotej ery hip-hopu. Erick Sermon i Parrish Smith zrewolucjonizowali scenę hip-hopową, wprowadzając swój unikalny flow oraz kultowe sample, takie jak "More Bounce to the Ounce" Zappa czy "Jungle Boogie" Kool & the Gang. Ten certyfikowany złotem album jest teraz dostępny na wiosenno-zielonym podwójnym winylu, zawierającym single "Yous Gots to Chill", "It's My Thing" i "Strictly Business".
