Debiutancki solowy album Rory'ego Gallaghera obchodzi 50. rocznicę wydania z zupełnie nowym miksem oryginalnego albumu oraz 18 niepublikowanymi/alternatywnymi wersjami utworów jako bonusowe nagrania. Album dostępny na 3LP.
Getting 18 bonus tracks I'd never heard before was the real treat here, especially the alternate takes scattered across LPs two and three. The 50th anniversary mix brings out the acoustic guitar in a way the original pressing never did for me.
The 18 bonus tracks alone are worth the price—those alternate takes of the debut songs show a looser, rawer side I hadn't heard before. Three LPs feels like a lot until you realize you're getting the full anniversary treatment, and the pressing is dead quiet.
The new mix on this pressing genuinely surprised me — the bass finally has room to breathe compared to the copy I've had for years. And 18 unreleased alternate takes across three LPs is just a ridiculous amount of extra material for the price.
