Forever My Lady é o álbum de estreia dos Jodeci, um projeto que ajudou a redefinir o R&B do início dos anos 90, misturando vocais com raízes gospel com os ritmos agressivos do new jack swing e do hip-hop soul. O álbum apresenta faixas de destaque como “Come and Talk to Me”, “Stay” e a faixa-título, "Forever My Lady", que se tornaram grandes êxitos de R&B e ajudaram o grupo a dominar as tabelas.

Com produção de DeVante Swing e Al B. Sure!, o disco estreou no n.º 1 da tabela Billboard Top R&B Albums e alcançou o sucesso multi-platina da RIAA. Em homenagem ao 35.º aniversário do álbum, foi reeditado em vinil 2LP preto padrão, com cinco faixas bónus, incluindo “Come And Talk To Me - Radio Remix” e "Forever My Lady - Live From Uptown MTV Unplugged/1993".
