Brotherhood (Âm thanh Blu-Ray)

The 5.1 surround mix by Steven Wilson completely opened up this album for me — the guitars circle the room in a way the stereo version never hinted at. Having the instrumentals on the same disc is a nice bonus for late-night listens.

Bought this mainly for the 2024 stereo mixes and they sound noticeably cleaner than my old CD, though the instrumentals are a fun bonus I didn't expect to use much. The 5.1 surround is a bit front-heavy on my setup, but the Blu-ray packaging itself feels solid.

The Dolby Atmos mix is the reason to grab this; the rear channels actually get a workout during the longer tracks. Only gripe is the instrumentals are nice to have but I doubt I'll revisit them much. Still, the 2024 stereo remaster sounds noticeably cleaner than my old copy.
