Live Evil (Super Deluxe Edition) (4LP)

The mix on this 4LP set finally lets you hear Dio's vocals sitting properly above the guitars instead of buried like on the old bootlegs. The gatefold packaging is sturdier than I expected too.

Finally got to hear the Dio-era live stuff properly spread across four records, and the mix on Mob Rules material actually breathes instead of sounding like a muddy bootleg. The booklet alone was worth it for the old tour photos.

The gatefold sleeve on this 4LP set feels genuinely sturdy, and the remastered mix finally gives Dio's vocals the room they deserve. Flipping through the four discs while following along with the liner notes made for a full evening's listen.
