The 1975 於 2016 年 2 月 26 日發行了他們的第二張錄音室專輯《I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it》。這張專輯在英國（BPI 白金認證）和美國（RIAA 金認證）專輯排行榜上均奪冠，並產生了 7 首單曲：〈Love Me〉、〈Ugh!〉、〈A Change of Heart〉、〈She's American〉、〈Somebody Else〉、〈Loving Someone〉和〈The Sound〉。Pitchfork、Rolling Stone 和 The Guardian 都將其列為 2016 年最佳專輯之一。

2026 年是這張備受喜愛的專輯發行 10 週年。為了慶祝這個里程碑，這張專輯將發行粉紅色彩膠版本，採用六片式三摺頁包裝，搭配另類封面藝術，並附有 17 張 12 吋 x 12 吋的藝術卡，每張卡片圖像代表一首歌曲，背面印有歌詞。
